marcel hossa ist der mann der bei euch bleibt. er war in den letzten beiden NHL-Saisonen bei den Canadiens und bei Hamilton in der AHL tätig.

Also, Fanki du irrst (dass ich das einmal schreiben darf ). Allerdings hat Marian Hossa bei Ottawa noch nicht einen neuen Vertrag unterschrieben.

Future might be bleak for St. Louis, Richards

The collective bargaining agreement has been helping small-market teams like the Edmonton Oilers and the Nashville Predators.

But the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning could get stuck in the new NHL.

According to a report in The St. Petersburg Times, Lightning GM Jay Feaster is expected to meet with Martin St. Louis' agent on Thursday in Tampa.

The meeting comes a day after St. Louis and teammate Brad Richards both voiced their displeasure with the Vincent Lecavalier signing at the Team Canada Olympic orientation camp in Kelowna, British Columbia.

The talks between Feaster and St. Louis' agent will not be easy. Lecavalier's four-year, $27.5 million deal jeopardizes the long-term future of St. Louis and Richards in Tampa.

St. Louis, the reigning NHL scoring champ and most valuable player, is a restricted free agent and would by all rights command a deal similar to that signed by Lecavalier -- if there was no salary cap.

Now it appears the Lightning will build their future around Lecavalier at the expense of St. Louis.

"It's tough to comment because I don't know what I'm going to be doing next," St. Louis said after Wednesday's session at Team Canada's week-long camp. "Right now I think we're in a pause mode to be honest.

"I told him congratulations. I was really happy for him. That's pretty much everything that was said," St. Louis added. "It's not like I didn't know this wasn't a possibility. More power to Vinny if he can get that kind of money."

As though to highlight the dilemma facing the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning, St. Louis and Lecavalier were linemates during the first scrimmage of the camp with St. Louis setting up his teammate for the first of two goals Lecavalier had on the day.

"The new CBA, the GMs, it's a tough job for them. Everybody knows that, it's hard," Lecavalier said. "Marty's a great guy and I hope we play together for a long time."

Although Richards won't be eligible for unrestricted free agency for two years, the Lecavalier deal has ramifications for the Conn Smythe Trophy winner, as well.

"Everybody's doing the math," Richards said. "It's not rocket science to see what it means. I'm very good friends with both guys. It's a tough, tough situation. It sucks. There's no other way to put it. We've already lost Nikolai Khabibulin; now it's going to be tough to get Marty signed."
